Cognac Borderies Millésimes

Vintage cognacs have been allowed for sale in 1990 only. They demand a very rigorous traceability from the grape harvest to the bottle sale. We must be able to give to the French authorities the evidence that the cognac in each vintage bottle only comes from the harvest of the vintage year. Since 1994, François Giboin has dedicated 2 casks to Vintage cognacs.

These vintages are made for a long aging process, with sales starting when the vintage is at least 20 years old.

Our vintage cognacs are not filtered and are really reflecting the year of the harvest and the chosen cask for aging. This can explain the large differences from one vintage to another one.
